A: All CVTC students! Staff are also eligible for most items/services.
Q: Are there any charges for the service?
A: No, it's free! However, fines and fees apply if materials are not returned by the specified due date and/or time or if the materials are lost or stolen. Why such high fines? Many students rely on the items that are not returned on time. Overdue often impacts other students schedules, assignments, obligations, etc. so please respect your peers and return your Equipment and Technology items on time.
Q: Can I make a reservation for equipment?
A: Yes! It is recommended, especially as the semester progresses.
Q: Where do I pick up and return equipment?
A: The Library is located in the Learning Center in the Business Education Center. Make sure you have your CVTC Student ID with you. Please, DO NOT return equipment in any book drops.
Q: When can I checkout equipment?
A: Anytime classes are in session!
Q: How long can I keep the equipment?
A: Equipment checkout length varies from 2 hours up to 7 days (depending on the item and availability).
Q: Do I have to sign an agreement before I check out equipment?
A: Yes! Agreements can be signed at the time of checkout.

Q: I need to borrow library equipment longer than 7 days for a class or assignment. What should I do?
A: If the item is not available for a semester loan term, stop in the Library and ask for a "Equipment Exception Form." Approval varies depending on assignment, length of request, and availability.
Q: How many reservations can I have at one time for Library equipment?
A: You can have up to 5 bookings total. This includes consecutive reservations made for equipment and/or study rooms.
Q: How do I pay Library equipment fines or fees?
A: Stop in the Library or call 715-833-6285 to pay over the phone with a major credit card.
