At the CVTC Library any of our librarians are happy to work with you and your students! To schedule a librarian to visit to your classroom, in-person or virtually, please email the library. You will hear back within 48 hours.

How can we help you and your students?

• Embed a librarian in your Canvas Course 
  We can help you and your students as embedded librarians in any course. We can help you embed library research guides into Canvas, as well as monitor class "Ask your librarian" discussion boards. Have another idea? Throw it out to us!

• Schedule research instruction for your class 
  Librarians can help your students build research skills. We can visit your classroom, meet in the Library or teach an online class session. It is best to have librarians visit your classes when your students know they have an assignment that could benefit from using library databases and other resources.

• Request development of a Library Guide for your course 
  Contact the library with your needs and we will create a guide for your course or specific assignment.

• Have students meet with a librarian
  Encourage students or groups who need help to schedule a research consultation with a librarian

• Request an interactive online library tutorial for your students
  Librarians can create online tutorials that instruct your students in navigating library resources, using Library Search or understanding citations, and more.  

• Do you have another idea or request?  Reach out to the library to get the conversation started!

The CVTC Library & Academic Support makes interactive tutorials, not just on using our library, but on skills needed for all our students, that may also serve as assignments.  If you have an idea for a new topic, please contact your library or academic support liaison (above).
